RESEARCH & ENVIRONMENT FOCUS
About
The PLANTS Immersion Project (PIP) 🌿 invites you to engage in a profound exploration of nature’s wisdom through collaboration with Boston Dance Theater. Rooted in the intersection of art, science, and care, PIP offers a space to reflect on our relationship with the natural world and imagine possibilities beyond the Anthropocene.
This unique, non-hierarchical research process connects participants to BDT’s PLANTS Project 🌿 delving into the consciousness of plants, their systems, and the profound lessons they offer. Together, we will explore ethical questions about how we live, create, and care within an interconnected ecosystem.
Through improvisation, composition, and site-specific practices that integrate writing, movement, and sound, participants will discover new ways of being and creating, inspired by the intricate intelligence of plant life 🌿 This collaboration culminates in a co-created work that reflects the deep interdependence and creativity inherent in natural systems.
PIP builds upon the legacy of past projects such as Interwoven and Unfurling 🌿 which have illuminated the transformative potential of embracing non-human perspectives in the creative process. Join us in this ethical and imaginative journey that celebrates the wisdom of nature and redefines our place within it.
